Outboard and Sterndrive Service

Engines that sit for months, then get asked to start cleanly and run right at altitude on the first trip of the season.

Outboards and sterndrives see harder duty than most engines — cold starts after months of storage, running at altitude on Utah's reservoirs, and long stretches of sitting between uses. Each of those conditions has its own effect on how the engine runs and what is worth checking before assuming something is broken.

Diagnosis on a marine engine follows the same logic as any engine — fuel, ignition, cooling, compression — but the marine-specific parts, like a raw water cooling system pulling directly from the lake, add failure points a land engine never has. That is specialized enough to be a marine shop's job rather than a general mechanic's.
